Griever of Chanpuru’s review.

Presentation:
I’m rarely a fan of super-tiny headers, but I happen to love yours. Not only did you achieve a rainbow look that works (which I’m sure is harder than it looks), but you made such a simplistic header and streamlined look seem so effortless. I especially love the navigation bar at the top; it’s very organized and your links are very visible (some sites don’t contrast their link colors enough, I was pleasantly surprised that you did). My only complaints was the lack of style in your regular links, they look like you haven’t customized them at all, and I’m sure pulling the exact HEX codes you used in your header would suit your site better1. I also felt empty looking at your background…. why just blank white? I think by still keeping your div layers white but putting in either a black background (for contrast) or some rainbow print would brighten it up a bit. I know you’re trying to go for a minimalistic look (which you achieved gracefully) but the white just isn’t “doing” it for me. I can barely tell whether or not your footer is indeed a lighter gray than your header, but even a minor inconsistency like this is off-putting, try to maintain a somewhat uniform look.. (unless the color contrast in the header just makes that gray look darker than it is… darn optical illusions!!)

  1. Because I’m a totally biased green fan and absolutely adore the shade of green you used in both your header and menus, I’d love to see more of that color throughout your site [↩]

Evie of Rubysmile.com’s review.

Presentation & Coding

Wow. Thirteen years old and running a website? What was I doing when I was thirteen? I was probably playing Metal Gear Solid and enjoying not having to do school, because my mom insisted that I home-school for fear of the Lord. That’s probably above your head, but let’s just say that my mom refused for me to attend public school when we had been living in the swamplands of Florida. By fourteen I was back in school, but yeah. Thirteen’s a good year to be alive! I’m quite amazed that you’re running a website, much less that you have anything to talk about. Which, therein, lies the problem. What have you honestly got to blog about? You’re so young. Don’t hit me with the “Age-ist” stick, either. There’s really not much for you to wax on philosophic about, y’know?

Basher of Desperate-Housewives.net’s review.

Presentation & Coding

Seeing as how you didn’t create this layout, Transfixx.com did that tall order, then I’m going to assume that you still know rudimentary code. About your layout, though — doesn’t that floating head of Nicollette Sheridan scare you? It reminds me of this Japanese poem I read, about how the dead would come back as floating heads and the only way you’d know they were coming was because their teeth would be chattering. Spooky!
