Elie of rainbowbliss.net’s review:
Presentation
Your header image is extremely well done. I love the way the colors flow together so nicely. Unfortunately, once I moved on from the image, it gets rather lost in the overall design of the layout. So my general feeling of your layout ends up being that of one large amalgam of color. I don’t exactly dislike it, but I feel that you could have made much better use of the header image.

I’m all for minimalism in every respect (look at my website for Christ’s sake.), but you’ve really taken this to a whole new level. How can I put this? Your website is completely one-dimensional. It lacks color, intrigue, and a certain level of finesse that might make one’s eye catch and want to stay at your site. I’m not saying you need a fantastic layout design or that you even need a header image! I’m just saying that maybe gray and purple only go together slightly, and maybe you’ve created a design completely void of all inspiration and any hint of talent. The lavender color you used for the side bar clashes horrendously with the background color, and though your use of lines does help the look a bit, it’s just not… pretty.

Jaclyn of Final Stop’s review.

Presentation:
So when I first entered your site, I pretty much thought it was some sort of internet scam site. You know that aesthetic — something plain, perhaps well designed and functional, but entirely sketchy due to lack of color and proper design structure. The “latest post” resembled some sort of ad, and true to form there are many shameless plugs at the bottom of the page in “asides,” seems like sponsored ads. I’m not a huge fan of “personal” sites being sponsored, but that’s just personal taste — any income is good income, I suppose. Your “summer” layout hardly evokes imagery of sand and surf, but rather ugly patterns found in the dark depths of Photoshop presets. On the bright side, your layout is completely functional. Every page is easy to find, there’s a clearly marked “search” box — I know exactly where I am and the structure is clean-cut.
